BONNIE PRESS NAMED TO NATIONAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS
FOR AMERICAN WOMEN IN RADIO & TELEVISION
New York, NY, March 5, 2010 – Bonnie Press, Executive Vice President of Katz Media Group, today was appointed to the 2010 National Board of Directors for American Women in Radio and Television.
“I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Board to lead AWRT into an exciting new chapter in its history as we serve our members and the industry,” said Press. “As a long-time participant in AWRT, I know firsthand the influence and significance of this organization, and I look forward to continuing to support it in this new capacity.”
Press has spent more than 30 years in the radio industry. She began her radio career at Katz in 1976 as a Research Analyst. Since then, Press has held several positions, and, in 1991, she was promoted to Senior Vice President, General Manager of Katz Radio Group. She helped launch Katz Dimensions in 1995, which was expanded in 2004 and renamed Katz Advantage. In 2009, Press stepped into her current corporate role, overseeing special projects and initiatives, such as this year’s political advertising campaigns, and serving as an overall liaison for Katz.

In addition, Press has held various prestigious positions for several industry organizations, including Next Generation Radio, and has been a featured speaker at multiple industry conferences and lectures, including AWRT Summits, Radio Advertising Bureau, National Association of Broadcasters, Radio Ink-sponsored gatherings and others. She was also instrumental in creating Katz Women’s Career Summit focusing on career advancement, life-work balance issues and diversity initiatives for industry women. For the last several years, Press has been named to the prestigious Radio Ink Magazine, Most Influential Women in Radio listing.
Press is a graduate of New York University, and holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in mathematics.
